Due to the variety of complex challenges to conservation in the Andean Amazon, ICAA partners have agreed to channel efforts toward outcomes related to several priority conservation and development themes. As a result, ICAA partners are able to share experiences, plans and lessons with one another to positively influence more responsible resource use in the Andean Amazon.

Large infrastructure and energy projects are a priority for ICAA partners because they are a significant driver of regional development and environmental change.
